This group and particularly the “Best of” was responsible for a lot of kids in the early 70s. But, listening to your review and watching your facial expressions as David sings take me back to this time and my first girlfriend. Yikes,hot.

Seb has an amazing voice but Skid Row only had 3 songs that were commercial hits so he doesn't get mentioned as much as he should as one of the great rock vocalists.

This is the most beautiful version I have ever heard. I am trying with much difficulty not to burst into sobs. I was in high school with Hybrid Theory was first released and their songs spoke to me like no other. Like so many in my generation, we faced so much ugliness. From the way our parents decided to raise us, like they hadn’t been raised in a toxic environment to school life being filled with judgmental adults and peers who seemed determined to break some of us. (Columbine hadn’t happened that long before being the first on campus school shooting in decades.) Linkin Park was that voice that I didn’t have. Being abused at home to being bullied at school, it just sucked all around and there were many, many times when I just wanted to give up to let the darkness consume me and then they released that album. Anyone can say what they want about the band (people have taken to making fun of their later music saying that they changed. Of course they did! Never changing and staying consistent can be the death of a band), but they did speak to millions of us just as Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” spoke to Gen X. And what sucks is that we lost a musical Titan in Chester Bennington. I feel so awful for my fellow metalheads who had just lost Chris Cornell a few months prior to then suddenly losing Chester. It was crushing! My grandmother allowed me to get many songs from Soundgarden right after I learned of Chris’s passing and she said something that stuck with me: “I don’t understand why no one could hear the pain in his songs. He was obviously hurting and crying out for help.” I told her it was just the music of that band but when Chester passed on, I found myself wondering: “Why is it like that? Why is it when we hear a song laced with deep sorrowful lyrics and music, do we accept it as the type of music and not a cry for help?” I don’t think we will ever be able to answer those questions fully. RIP Chester. I’m sorry that we couldn’t help you like you helped us.

This song when they were performing in Moscow in 1989 was stonning! The best ever in my opinion!

This is the Second Skid Row...the First was in the 70s the Gary Moore´s band, now Skid Row had a new singer...theres a woman! and She´s on the Sebs range!

Bethany says she is curious because she has not heard the name of Skid Row or Sebastian Bach as much as she would expect and the reason is veeery simple. For those who lived through the 80s remember very well the BIG change that happened then. Skid Row came out in the end of the hairbands era so as fast as they appeared they were gone quickly too and ALL the hairbands were over with them as well. Nirvana happened and grunge was born with it killing the hairbands time period. The grunge scene at the time was very much against all the hairbands so you didnt hear about any of them any more. It was the end for bands like.....Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Poison, Skid Row, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Europe and MANY others

If you want vocals like this but better off the original album you need need need to listen to "I remember you".... It has some really amazing variety and one of Sebs best one breath long run.... Seriously this should have been first but do it next But do the studio version first.... lives are good bit you need to heard the original first

Sad beginning for Jeff. His dad Tim had a very different voice his album greetings from LA was out there. Jeff has tones of his father. In time I'm sure he will mature into a well rounded singer. I'd like to know if Jeff writes his own songs?

The group was RIDICULOUSLY popular back in the 80's. But the buzz more about all of the band and not just Sebastien.

This was the erra when hard rock was done without flash digital input. There was many rock bands at that time which can never be replicated. Sadly music of today is lacking in originality. Been a long time since music of today has turned my head
